Achieving Accuracy: BP Measurement
Improve your blood pressure measurement skills with the new Achieving Accuracy: BP Measurement e-Learning module co-developed by the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association.
High-quality patient care is the top priority for healthcare professionals (HCPs), and re-training is vital to improving accuracy in blood pressure (BP) measurement. High BP is a leading risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. Identifying and treating High BP is key to improving patients’ cardiovascular health.
Guidelines recommend all HCPs should periodically re-train on BP measurement techniques to ensure you consistently measure BP accurately every time.
This course:

• Teaches 5 essential steps to accurately measure and record BP using a manual, semi-automated, or automated device

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens Online
Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Online teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet. It includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability, and much more.
Opioid Education for Non-Clinical Staff and Lay Responders
The Opioid Education for Non-Clinical Staff and Lay Responders is designed to educate students on the basics of the opioid epidemic and recognition of an overdose. The course teaches participants how to respond to a possible overdose, including how to deliver naloxone and activate the emergency response system*. The course also offers information on the importance of treatment options post-overdose. This course covers adults only.
Opioid Education for Healthcare Providers
Opioid Education for Healthcare Providers is a self-directed, eLearning course is for use by a single student that includes modules such as recognition and treatment of opioid overdose (use of CPR and reversal agents), details of the opioid epidemic and opioid use disorder, pathophysiology of pain and opioids leading to addiction, and managing acute pain with alternative pain management options.
This 30 minute long course educates participants in the pathophysiology of opioid overdose; special considerations on how to care for overdose patients, including naloxone administration; recognizing the need for high-quality CPR; and use of a defibrillator.
